Greetings from the House and Garden Club Are you impressed with the front entrance to the community? Do you enjoy the flowers and plantings around the golf course, Walt’s pond and other common areas of Four Seasons? When you approach the Clubhouse you will see the lovely copper fountain and landscaping provided by the House and Garden Club. The women’s bathroom and window shades for the ballroom have been updated under the auspices of the club. Even the lamp shades in the foyer of the clubhouse have not been overlooked by the club. These are some of the projects of beautification that the House and Garden Club completed and continue to support for the aesthetics of Lakes of the Four Seasons. The purpose of the Four Seasons House and Garden Club is to provide social opportunities for the members and to promote beautification of the home and community. Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month in the Clubhouse ballroom at 12:00 Noon, except November and December. A light buffet is followed by a program on topics such as decorating, gardening, education, health issues or entertainment precedes the business meeting. Fundraisers supplement minimal dues of $20/year. The main fundraiser is a Plant Sale in May. In July members enjoy a potluck buffet and an afternoon of games. November’s meeting date is used to decorate the Clubhouse for the holidays. The club’s calendar features a holiday luncheon in December. In the warmer months in odd numbered years, a “Yard of the Month” is selected. The recipient is announced at the main entrance and an article about the garden appears in the monthly Seasonal. Please consider this this organization – you will meet your neighbors and have fun while supporting your community.
