LOFS introduces new decal system
Streamlined system will combine sticker and bar code
Effective with the 2006/07 dues season a new streamlined identification
system for vehicles will be implemented.
A new LOFS annual decal will now contain a bar code `that will allow entrance at
the 117th Ave. gate. The old bar code that had to be used in conjunction with
the annual decal and attached separately will be eliminated.
The gate will be activated by the new bar coded LOFS decal that will be
installed on the driver’s side of the vehicle. This combined decal replaces the
traditional front window decal. Instructions on the proper installation of the
new combined decals will be given when residents pay the 2006 dues.
Effective May 2, 2006, the old black bar codes will no longer be valid and will
not operate the 117th Street Gate. The new system will assure that the 117th
Street gate is used as it was intended. New bar codes will be issued each year
and residents must be current on their annual assessment to use the amenity. The
decal must be attached to the vehicle to be active. As in past years, the first
two decals are free and third and subsequent decals are $5.00 each.
Placement of new decal/bar code:
*The combined decal that will provide access at both the front gate and the 117th Ave. gate is to be placed on the driver’s side-- rear window--in the upper right hand corner. DO NOT PUT DECAL ON THE WINDSHIELD.
*Vehicles with no rear window should place decal on the driver’s side window--upper right corner. Be careful not to obscure vision.
*Clean and dry window prior to applying decal. Backing peels away from decal. Caution: decal back is sticky and care must be taken to apply evenly.
