Beautification of Walt's Pond

The purpose of the Four Seasons House and Garden Club is to provide social opportunities for the members and to promote beautification of the home and community. Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month in the Ballroom of the Clubhouse at 12:00 Noon, except November and December. A light buffet is followed by a program on topics such as decorating, gardening, education, health issues or entertainment precedes the business meeting. Fundraisers supplement minimal dues of $20/year. Major fundraisers in the past included a Garden Walk and Flea Market Extravaganza.

Were you impressed with the front entrance to the community? Do you enjoy the flowers and plantings around the golf course, Walt's pond and other common areas of Four Seasons? When you approach the Clubhouse you will see the lovely copper fountain and landscaping provided by the House and Garden Club. The beautiful dining rooms are decorated by club members for the holidays. The women’s bathroom at the clubhouse has been updated under the auspices of the club. These are some of the projects of beautification that the House and Garden Club completed and continue to support for the aesthetics of Lakes of the Four Seasons.

The club's calendar features a holiday luncheon in December. The main fundraiser is a Plant Sale in May. In July members enjoy a potluck buffet and an afternoon of games/cards. In November a community bus trip to Chicago or other area offers the opportunity for shopping, visiting a gallery or just enjoying the holiday lights.

In the warmer months every other year, a "Yard of the Month" is selected. The recipient is announced at the main entrance and an article about the garden appears in the monthly Seasonal .

Please consider this organization – you will meet your neighbors and have fun while supporting your community.
