Westhaven Boat Dock (project for 2003)
Westhaven Boat dock area has several problems. The first problem to be addressed is the drainage swale that feeds from Wildwood Park to Lake Holiday. This swale is inadequate for filtering out unwanted nutrients and sediments. We will modify the ditch and install a sediment clean out. Then we will plant the rest of the swale with native vegetation. Also, some plant introduction on the shore line area will be done. In addition, we will transplant some 300 water lilies with the assistance of the L.O.F.S. Fishing Club.
