The Security Department serves a essential function within LOFS of maintaining a safe and secure community. The department consists of a department head, a number of officers, dispatchers, and EMTs. All officers go through a rigorous training program and are deputized by both Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana. The security department mans the main gate into the community twenty-four hours a day, all year round as well as monitoring via closed circuit TV the entrance gate on the west side of the community. The Security force are first responders to emergencies within and adjacent to our community. In addition, the security department provides security on the lakes via a trained boat patrol.
