Style Show tickets on sale, organizers seek local support
It’s that time of the year again and the LOFS Fundraising Committee
is proud to announce its 3rd Annual Style Show Luncheon on May 18 from 1 to 4
p.m. at the LOFS Clubhouse. Cost for each ticket is $25.
On the venue, we will host a Style Show presented by Dress Barn from Valparaiso,
have many exciting raffles, a host of enthusiastic vendors who will display
their products available for purchase during the event, along with a fabulous
luncheon created by Chef Rob and live music.
We are pleased to announce that on the day of the Style Show your ticket will be
entered in a drawing to win a free makeover! Winner must be present to receive
prize! This fundraising event derives much of its success from the generous
outpouring of donations and participation from our local, surrounding businesses
as well as home-based businesses, and also from our guests.
The FRC is extending an invitation to home-based businesses that would like to
showcase their product on this day. Space is being offered for a nominal fee.

We are also inviting any local and home-based businesses that would be
interested in providing our fundraiser with a monetary donation or gift basket
containing your product to be raffled in our event. For more information on
donations, please contact Iris Varlan at 988-2703. This is a perfect opportunity
to allow our guest to recognize your business!
Tickets will be available for purchase beginning March 1 at Salon‘ Salon’
located at 8291 E. 109th Avenue. For ticket info, please contact Melissa Evans
at 663-7345. We encourage you to purchase your tickets as soon as possible since
this is on a first come, first served basis.
We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all of our generous
contributing businesses, vendors, and the LOFS restaurant and community for our
continued success. Our committee is continually finding ways to uphold our
motto, which is “to provide community enhancements, improvements, and
beautification with the entirety of its proceeds.”
So ladies, mark your calendar, invite your friends, get dolled up and plan on
having an afternoon filled with raffles, shopping, lunch, and a lot of great
fun!

LOFS Fundraising Committee shows ‘Style’ to community. The volunteer group hosted a Style Show & Luncheon on May 21 at the clubhouse. Those attending were treated to elegant decorations, a great meal, a host of gift basket raffles and a chocolate fountain dessert and fruit station, which was a hit with attendees. The style show featured fashions by Weekenders displayed by local models. The committee plows all of their event proceeds back into community improvements.
